Lynne Accetta-Scheffer, MA, LMHC, is a Hakomi Therapist certified by Ron Kurtz, and a Certified Hakomi Trainer. She is licensed in the State of Washington as a Mental Health Counselor. Lynne’s Masters degree from Antioch University Seattle is in Counseling Psychology.
Lynne studied Heart Centred Hypnotherapy at The Wellness Institute, Pre- and Perinatal Psychology with William Emerson, and recently completed a two-year course of study in Family Constellations with Franchesca Boring. Lynne has also worked with the treatment team in an inpatient psychiatric facility and later as a County Designated Mental Health Professional. She maintains offices in Puyallup and in Tumwater, WA and specializes in working with individuals, couples, and teens. She teaches Loving Presence, Quieting the Mind, Nourishing Communications, and Nonverbal Communications with her team Roxanne Peterson and Miles Springer, who are also Certified Hakomi Teachers.
A ten plus year background teaching Transcendental Meditation has created an appreciation of mindfulness and how it enhances any endeavor or aspect of life. Also Lynne has incorporated Internal Family Systems into her Hakomi practice and teaching.
Lynne lives with her beloved husband, Brian Scheffer, who is also a Certified Hakomi Therapist, and their dog, Paco, and she loves to tend her dahlia gardens.
