Diarmid was first introduced to Hakomi By Rob Fisher in 2001 whilst studying for a Masters in Somatic Psychology at CIIS in San Francisco. Totally hooked by the power and elegance of the method he then immersed himself in the training community in Sheffield on his return to the UK, and became certified in the Hakomi in 2009 by Donna Martin and Flint Sparks. He now practices Hakomi in Edinburgh, teaches introductory workshops in the method and assists on the Hakomi UK trainings in London and Lancaster. Diarmid has a passion for connecting people with nature and has worked for four years for a mental health charity in Edinburgh, facilitating woodland based groups to increase wellbeing. He is also passionate about the practice of Nonviolent Communication and integrates this into his work and life.

Diarmid is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
