Hakomi practitioner and teacher
Adam has been deeply involved with Hakomi for nearly 20 years. He has taken 2 full trainings with the Hakomi Institute, one in the UK the other in West Australia; in addition he has spent several summers studying with Ron Kurtz who certified him as a practitioner and teacher of Hakomi.
Being a Yoga teacher and practitioner since the mid ’80s has given him a deep understanding and appreciation for the wisdom of the body.
He was also one of the first to be certified to teach CEB (Cultivating Emotional Balance) by Dr. Alan Wallace and Dr. Paul Eckman, the world-renowned expert on human emotions. This profound practice weaves together Shamatha Meditation and Mindfulness with the understandings of Western science.
Currently Adam lives and works in a Mindfulness-based Recovery community and organic farm in Northern Thailand where he practices Hakomi daily with people recovering from addictions, depression, burnout and major life-changes. It is a wonderful opportunity to bring his various passions for Mindfulness, Body-practices and Hakomi to a population who are ripe for diving deep into themselves and ready to make fundamental shifts. He is so grateful for this privilege!
