A post appears in the slider on the home page and Featured Events page because it has a “Sticky” setting. To remove the post, you simply turn off the Sticky setting.
You can do this two or three ways.

Disabling Sticky setting via the “blue” editor

  1. In the website, go to the post.
For example, go to the front page, wait for the post to appear in the slider, and then click on the post.
  2. In the bottom right corner of your window, click on the Edit button that floats over the page.
    btnEdit
  3. In the left pane, click Published to expand the area below it.
    btnPublishAgain
  4. Turn off the Stick to the front page setting.
